So we are finally getting to do Trainstock 13   ( Could it be that number that jinxed it )  Saturday April 2 starting at 10 AM   Come one come all  Bring a friend  Bring your family  Bring a train to run.    Vinny is cooking up a storm and you will be fed until they have to roll you out.

Since a few of our members went up to Dedham to dismantle MArty Fitzhenry's layout we have a number of items that we cant use.   Everybody that attends will go home with a small piece of MArty Fitzhenry's layout.  Clubs that are represented will also go back to your club with a memento from MArty.  We will also be raffling off Marty's turntable, roundhouse and diesel shed.

Small entry fee of $7.00 to cover some of the cost

Good afternoon Ben (Bluelinec4) ,

I will be at Trainstock (you are very lucky to have me). In your post above, among other things, you stated  you would be auctioning off Marty's turntable (how the NJHR got this when it has nothing to do with model railroading is odd). However, as a long time friend of Marty, I would be interested in buying it, as well as any other stereo equipment that the club was able to get from him, including any stereo receiver, CD player, cassette deck and speakers. Perhaps you could offer a package deal if I bought all of Marty's stereo equipment. Let me know.

Erol,

We don't have any of Marty's stereo equipment.  And as for the Turntable, if by some chance no one buys a raffle ticket then it's your to buy.

See you at TS.

Unfortunately I have to miss this one.  My son has several concerts at college next weekend and my parents asked if I would take them along - they had no idea I had Trainstock and was planning to only go to the performances Saturday night and Sunday.  Seeing as how they're both in their 80s I can't very well say no - I can't be sure they'll be physically up to making the trip in subsequent years.

You're doing the right thing Greg. There will be many more Trainstocks.  We'll miss you at the tipple!

Thanks for all the great pictures Don !

You don't visit for a few years and they change everything!  We were amazed at all the changes/improvements/additions that we noticed on today's visit.  Beautiful and creative work!

The one constant is Vinny's brunch and lunch!  It's always spectacular and today was no exception. I liked everything on the menu, and the Eggplant Parmigiana was better than any I've had in a restaurant!   We appreciate you, Vinny!!! (and of course, your team of cooks and servers!)

(even the bread was off the charts!)

Hello Ben:

Missed seeing you there but Vinny and his crew kept us all well fed. Enjoyed a few words with Erol and Gun Runner John. HO Bob's little grandson had a ball too...hard to get him away from the wooden train set. Picked up a few things from Marty's layout that will definitely be incorporated into my layout very soon.
