Starting a topic for everyone to post their pics and vids of NKP 765 this weekend as she runs trips out of Conway Yard. Weather is looking better for Saturday and Sunday is supposed to be perfect. Be careful and stay off NS property so as not to be labeled a foamer !!

Why not?
Deadhead move to Conway. In Columbiana, OH.
Some HD footage from today...lots more to follow.
Which "guest whistle? is that?
Sounds like a PRR passenger whistle in that second video posted above.
It would also be nice to see & hear some videos of 765 taken away from a grade crossing, in order to hear that nice Lima exhaust.

Sorry about the blurry Heritage photo, but the only reason I am posting it is because, is it?... why... yes! It's Rich! Waving to all. "Hey, Rich." Oh... He doesn't know me. (Must have been napping!!) Sure was a lot of sulfur in that coal today!

Here's my video of the 9 a.m. run this morning:
The people in the second half of the video were people who just stopped to ask me why so many people were "just standing around" along side the road. They were thrilled to get the opportunity to see (and photograph) the Magnificent Machine in person!
Andy
that was pretty cool.

A Great Big "Thank You" to those posting the photographs and video!!!

In Andy H's East Run video Im with my wife and 2 year old boy at 33 sec. When the train comes past and I realize how big it is I back up a few steps! Ive never seen a steam train before. It was super cool. Hopefully I can post some video and pics tonight or tomorrow.
Sorry about the watermark but there was a lot of runnin' that went into these.

Nice view, but too bad he is going down hill with the diesel in Dynamic brake.

Great stuff Marty, thanks for posting the videos. Jack is a little rough, but he's not use to seeing green, all the western dust and dirt apparently is the only place steam can run.

Yes, this engine is quite impressive! I just wish I had more time to spend chasing it.
It was also cool to see the Heritage unit. It was the first one I've seen in person.

Thanks to all of you who posted and shared!! Great to see this in my ol hometown!! Wish I could have been there!!
I went up to the yard Friday afternoon and stayed til about midnight. What originally turned into getting pictures eventually turned into helping prepare the train for the weekend's excursions. I definitely felt comfortable around most of the guys, being a rookie in the ways of steam. I was given tips on how to maintain a fire, watched and took notice of how to shoot the rods and what not. I'm very much looking forward to learning steam stuff over the next few years!
I came back and took a ride on the 9am trip with my dad and a family friend on Saturday, shot the remainder of the trips, and the deadhead move near downtown Pittsburgh earlier today. All I can say is it was the best 3 days I've experienced so far.
My videos are up and pictures are currently being added to my Flickr page.

Love the angle of the second video with the city behind. Nice work! Although, like me, I bet you didn't even feel like work.
Great photos and videos guys! I kind of lived 765's trip across PA vicariously late yesterday afternoon after I was able to talk my sister into going to the station in Lewistown to shoot video for me. Thank God for the Fort Wayne GPS tracking tool as I was able to send her a stream of text message updates as to where the train was. (My phone bill will probably be a whopper!)
Marty, great shoot at West Park! Looks like NS has decided to upgrade to 3 rail track now, huh?

Anyone on the forum who would like the shots posted w/o the watermark can either email me or post here and I'll send you a clean copy. I certainly don't mind sharing with my friends.
