Yes, there is a wye at the east end of the Rockville Bridge. If we turned there, the trip would be way too short.
Rich,
Thanks for posting all these details.
Are you still in the Video business, and if so, will you be having camera crews out there documenting these historic events?
Anyone know where the water fill area is located in Alliance?
I am going to try and take pictures that say in Canton Area and then chase it to Alliance.
Better have a good radar detector cause I am going to have to fly on US62 to keep up beat it.
If you leave Columbus Buckeye Yard at say 8am, figure u will be in Canton by 11am to 1pm and alliance one half hour after.
Rich since I live very close to Harrisburg I really want to get some good shots of the 765.
How long will you be sitting in Enola and Harrisburg for good photo shots? Especially in Harrisburg since you are going to be right by the station which is easy access.

NO and NO.

Arch Street.
We'll be sitting in Enola for a week, but I doubt you'll be able to get any good shots there. NS security will be limiting access into the yard.
We don't stop and sit anywhere in Harrisburg. We go to the wye, turn and head right back to Enola. THE photo spot on these trips is the Rockville Bridge.

Ok Thanks Rich! I will look forward to hearing that whistle echo!
Ah sugar. I was about to ask if you'll ever be near Buffalo. I went back and read these are for NS employees...... lucky bunch. Someday.....
Thanks Rich - That is a Bridged area and suspect you will be filling by hydrant or fire trucks. The Alliance Amtrak Station is 1/4 mile east of there.
I will find you in that area. North Mechanics Avenue or North Linden/Prospect looks to be better for firetrucks if tat is the means to fill.
No fire trucks. All we need is a hydrant. I scouted this location months ago.
Is there any rough idea on the time you will be in Bucrus on July 21 or 22???
Marty
Rich,
in regards to the souther wv trips. My understand is you will arrive in Portsmouth on the 30th depart for wv sometime on the 31st. I plan to do some on the deadhead move from Portsmouth to wv.
