In conventional, I have all the engine railsounds.  In Legacy Command, I have horn, bell, crew talk etc., but no diesel engine sounds.  I can raise and lower the horn, bell sounds.  I have tried multiple remotes. Changed remote batteries.

Engine is an Amtrak F40PH, Road # 388.  About three years old, lightly used.

What am I missing?  The engine has good diesel rail sounds in conventional, but no diesel sounds in Legacy Command.

Hope someone has seen this problem before.  THANKS

Yep, easy solution.

On the Legacy controller, try hitting AUX1 then volume up, do this two-key sequence repeatedly and the engine sounds will come back.

There are two volume settings for command operation, one is the background sounds (engine or chuff) and the other is for on-demand sounds like whistle/bell, crewtalk, etc.

Try this from the manual...

The volume up button raises the overall master volume of the LEGACY RailSounds sound system. To independently adjust the level of the background sounds only (e.g., the diesel roar and brake sounds), tap AUX1 and then this key.

The volume down button lowers the overall master volume of the LEGACY RailSounds sound system. To independently adjust the level of the background sounds only (e.g., diesel roar and brakes), tap AUX1 and then this key. Volume settings are retaining when track power is turned off.
