Look in the soft key menu, see if marker lights are mentioned there.
Try starting it up in conventional, typically you get all the available lights.
John, nothing in the soft key menu, but I did noticed that when I first turn power on to the layout the LEDs blink on once. After that when I turn on the engine the LEDs remain off. If I turn the layout off and back on, the LEDs do not blink, it's only after the layout if off for any length of time that they blink on (must be a capacitor discharging slowly).
At least this proves the LEDs are getting power at some point (and they aren't burnt out).
For some reason markers do flash at start up.
There are sound files I have found with markers default as off, not all sound files have soft key LMK, and I even ran into a sound file with Light Mikado that only had the rear lit. This was a MUX board engine, but I had not notice that before.
You may have to pick a different sound file. G
