Is there a kit or something to convert a non Tmcc controlled Postwar Diesel or Steam engine to Command control ? I have read a little about doing this (and the nightmares) but would do this on a few engines ----if advisable. Electronic projects very doable by myself or Son.

Note, your first battle is knowing what motor type you have. A universal AC motor (often called the name Pulmor) VS a can type DC motor.
If you have the AC motor- you must then buy the AC version of AC Commander Kit
ERR makes a kit to install TMCC functions. You can find the various types of command kits at 3rd Rail Division of Sunset Models. They are advertisers on the forum. I believe Gunrunner John also sells them and does installations. John is on the forum. The installation is pretty easy. It is a matter of removing the old wiring and connecting the board. The directions are pretty straight forward. You will also need a controller: cab 1, cab1L, or cab 2

Thank you so much. I have 2 Cab 1'S and a Legacy 990 system I found with Cab 2 remote. All of the ones I would look at doing are AC.
