Hello, localy where I live in Kokomo, IN (about an hour north of Indianapolis) there is only a small scale or a round robin style club that is mostly HO and allows a limited number of members. I would like to see if I can get a O scale 3 rail group/club started in the northern part of Indiana, hopefully keeping home base near the Kokomo area. I am just getting started with 2 rail at home, but also have 3 rail, I am a life long model railroader and railfan. I am autistic and struggle to make and keep friends. I am hoping by starting a local group, it will lead to some new friendships and the ablity to share and enjoy each others company thru trains. So if your in the northern half of Indiana and model or have an interest in modeling in 3 rail O scale, shoot me an email or post here. As to whether to have a club layout or a modular layout, thats up in the air. I lack the space for anything more than a small switching shelf layout. I did see a beautiful modular layout over at the Berea, OH show a few weeks ago. Maybe a small modular layout to draw interest to the scale that can be easily taken to shows would be an option.
