This caboose was given to me as a gift. I have not been able to find the APP the directions say to purchase. From information I have gotten from others, it seems this will only work with an Apple phone? I have a new Android.Does this mean I won't be able to use it? Any information would be helpful as my next steps. Thanking you in advance for any help and information.

This caboose was given to me as a gift. I have not been able to find the APP the directions say to purchase. From information I have gotten from others, it seems this will only work with an Apple phone? While the Apple app version is up in the app store, the Android version was removed and hosted at a Lionel Webpage.

Does this mean I won't be able to use it? No, you may be able to use it but have to manually download the app APK file and install it manually not via an app store.
Sadly, Lionel let the app go so far out of date it was removed from the normal app store.
You have to download and install the file from Lionel's website- which may require you to change settings on your device to allow that type of install.
For Apple devices, it's in the apple app store, but for Android- you have to use the version Lionel posted above.
Also note- while this video is for a vista dome car- Lionel used the same basic camera and app- so the instructions and basics as far as loading and using are the same.

Kinda wish I coulda found video specs for this caboose. I bought the NPC, installed app on my phone(s), only android 13 balked at it, but it still works.
Video settings are 480, 720 and 1080, maybe one more under 1080. At 720 I believe max fps is 24, not the best for video.
