Jack Ferris' Scale Model Railways produced some great looking models - after WW2 he founded AMT (American Model Toys/Auburn Model Trains) in Auburn, Indiana and produced 3 rail aluminum smooth sided passenger cars (first streamlined cars in O gauge - before Lionel), then corrugated side passenger cars (before Lionel, and in 9 different body styles), nearly full scale 3 rail boxcars (before Lionel's 6464 and far more to scale), and their RDC (before - drumroll please - Lionel). O scale/gauge lovers need to know about Mr Ferris O scale/gauge work.
