Hello everyone, I tried to search for any threads on this already and couldnt find anything, so figured i'd start a new thread.  Does anyone have any guesses on when the NYC set will be showing up roughly?  My LHS says that he is hearing sooner rather than later, though I havent read anything online that matches that.  Any of you Lionel fans out there know anything?  I really like this set and hope to pick one up!

The New York Central RR was known as "The Water Level Route" for its route following mostly rivers and waterways between New York and Chicago, and with a few exeptions was largely a flat railroad when compared to competitors that crossed mountain grades further inland away from the Great Lakes and Hudson River, etc.

The loco will likely be identical to the seperate sale  legcay mohawk aside from the cab number. Heres video forum member drgwdavid posted awhile back.

The online shipping schedule has so much "mis-information" in it right now, Lionel should just pull the gosh darn thing from their website.  It's a total embarrassment for a customer-facing document, as it has absolutely zero credibility whatsoever.  Unbelievably absurd!    And dealers would be wise to save themselves the administrative headaches and just not post any dates regarding product shipping ETA's.

FWIW... CharlieNassau just posted a short list of items due into stores this week.  And when I asked about any scale rolling stock included in the shipment, he indicated no.  So who knows when we'll see this set.

These snippets of information we're getting from dealers who receive a shipping invoice direct from Lionel are probably the most reliable sources of information we have right now as to what's arriving in stores.  Lionel has made it painfully clear that it's just not currently a high priority to communicate accurate shipping information directly to the consumer at this point in time.
