Yep, when they ride that soft; Kiaser roll is are a given.

As long as there isn't a turnover ..."Too sweet”

But seriously, driving an old Rolls is an eperience in perfection that has to be experienced. Even a ride is impressive, but you can use your grandmothers pinky to bat the column the shifters around.... just so amazingly mechanically smooth and predictable (until the late 70s anyhow)... I dregress...

I've done that trick off my truck battery, track laid out in pick-up truck beds and in VW buses at the back window and at the side doors on the cargo floor at shows and while camping (in the rain).  Just trains, no scenery.

No whistle tender (dc  ), my biggest juice hog, and using heaviest cars I owned was the only throttle the first time out; and a really old heavy duty interior light dimmer switch after that; then voltage drops with diodes.

(3a... must have been for an old Lincoln, Imperial, Caddy, etc.... It cooked eventally though; too light for postwar peaks...however can motors might do well on one)

My critque would be to add some matching car color to the layout via panels attached to, down low, or in place of the AstroTurf.

IMO, it's too raw, & DYI "backyard-y" to compliment the pretty car well. Color panels alone could make it look more like it belongs better vs a skimped on after thought.

Oh well. He's enjoying himself "sold"
