The Ocean County Society of Model Railroaders would like share the progress on our new O gauge and HO scale toy and model train displays with you. This is a great opportunity for the whole family to enjoy together. If you or the kids are model railroaders or just enjoy trains you should come down to see the work we have done since moving into our new home last year. Our members would love to talk trains and model railroading with you so you can see why it's "The worlds greatest hobby."
Since we are located in the lower level of the Lakewood Historical Society's Museum you have the opportunity to view their displays and learn about Lakewood's historic past while you are here. They will also be holding an event at 2pm to honor Gene Hendrickson who "spearheaded" the preservation of Lakewood's history by dedication a street in his honor.
Viewing will be free and we will be holding a raffle for $5 a ticket to win an HO scale starter train set donated by Hobbymasters in Red Bank valued at $200.
Parking is available in the gravel lot next to the museum as well as the tennis courts lot on the south side of the museum past the pavilion and playground. In the event both lots are full we ask you do not park on the street but use the addition lots around the park and walk to the building.
Children under 15 must have a parent or guardian present to view or operate. Kid Friendly.
