A few forum members emailed me asking about my coaling tower on the West Hayleyton and Emmaus Railroad thread.
Lionel imported about 10 years a basic kit for a Ogle Coaling Tower and begging to be kit bashed.
A 1984 Mainline Modeler article on making a 150 ton C&NW Ogle Coaling Tower was just the kick in the pants to get me going.
Using various Plastruct parts and scratch building a new coal shoot, painting structure using Floquil aged concrete and weathering with chalkes and pencil I think produced a fair representation on a unique lineside structure.
While the MM article was based on the C&NW tower, the PRR had a similar one at the South Amboy NJ
engine facility.

How is your layout coming along? Caskets and Urns can't fit one in there!!!
