I got to work today and was informed my package had arrived.  That was good news as I had just recently placed an order for an engine with a well known dealer.

To my horror they further stated that they put it in the freezer to keep it frozen.  Now I was confused.

I opened the office freezer and found this box.  With my engine inside of course

LOL LOL LOL now that's funny.  I buy and sell a lot on eBay and I reuse a lot of boxes with a lot of different labeling.  I usually try to peel off the old labels first or blacken them out with magic marker.  I wouldn't have expected a DEALER to send anything in a box like that.  Unless, they have a combination hobby shop and KFC.  You better check that engine for beaks and feet.

Here are some questions that you might try asking yourself, having to do with the environment that a typical toy train endures in its lifetime:

What is the temperature inside a shipping container crossing the North Pacific from China in the Winter?

What is the temperature inside a tractor-trailer crossing the Northern USA in Winter?

What is the temperature of an unheated warehouse in the Northern USA in Winter?

What is the temperature of an unheated UPS or FedEx truck in winter?
