Now who forgot those track joiners..
That's my favorite scene!
Cheers,

I don't drink, but on occasion I get a little carried away and run a freight at a whole 35 SMPH.
If I had "a couple", very unlikely that I could even make it to the layout.

I'm with Matt....max speed 35
Plodding along at reduced speed just does not appeal to me regardless of beverage...hand on the throttle, clipping along..braking for the curves..blowing the horn or whistle...no slow freight drags or sedate running here.
A couple of what?
I have to much money invested to derail my trains or even worse to crash them. Nope, no drinking on this Railroad!
I don't drink and drive!
I don't drink either, but I do like to get them going and blow the cobs out every once in a while. Very carefully, of course.
I like to blow out the carbon occasionally.
Nope, I don't drink. And I remember the time I rolled my 2026 off the Christmas platform when I was five years old, so I don't do speed running, either. Fortunately, there was a nice thick braided rug on the living room floor that year, so the fall and subsequent tumble didn't harm the locomotive in any way. But I learned my lesson.
The last couple Ginny and I had were very polite and we ran the trains at a constant speed. The train speed was not varied but the couple slowed down and stayed a while.
Scrappy
No drinking allowed in my house so nice prototype speeds are ok.
Max for my freight consists 35 smph and no more than 3 smph backwards...anything faster backwards and couplers [snapping noise] somewhere are talking to me.
Clem has a smoke(ing) problem not a drinking problem!
Yep......occasionally I have a friend or two over for some run-bys on the Christmas Carpet Central. The adult scotch beverage is for medicinal purposes only......
medicinal purposes only...so true..i also text my girlfriend, watch tv,monitor some ham frequencies and cruise this forum if i have had "a couple" or not...while running my trains...its all good ...maybe my DCS should have an impairment soft key.
Clem, like the twin niagara's. and the chase shot....
pun intended....
Currently enjoying a Markers Mark, and wouldn't think of going upstairs to run trains. But then I run mostly slower speeds with steam locomotives anyway.
Never have or will touch the stuff. But I do run the trains fast and slow. Slow when it's just me, fast for the little (1yr old) boy when he requests a train to be run so he can chase it on the floor.
I probably did when I was younger, foolish and didn't know any better.
Don't forget Rule "G".
I have some craft beer after doing the hobby craft. But I don't drink and drive my trains.
Even after 3 or 4 Diet Cokes I run my trains the same way!!!!
I can't answer the question...I don't drink liquor...at all...ever.
I'm with Rich.....I enjoy the looks when I order a double...(milk).
Water is about as strong as I usually drink, I do go all out a couple times a year and have a glass of iced tea with a touch of sweetener.

If you drink a large cup of Dunkin, you're not the only one who runs on it overtime...
I'm with the 35 mph group, minus any drinking.

High speed looping would give me the spins if super drunk...not good... I only drink on holidays, and the throttle creeps lower the more I feel it. Watching them still fun, but drunken re-railing doesn't sound fun, even when drunk I think its a bad idea. When sober, I usually push the envelope.
I have better things to do than to run trains after sending out for a beer run....
And, she needs to learn to buyme better beer, too!!
George, nice double header. I do have a beer once in a long while but not near my trains or car. maybe watching the evening news. Drinking has little to do with trains unless one has a brewery on their layout. Some day I will as I can use my grain hoppers and box cars at the facility.

On the contrary. I usually slow them down since the room is spinning faster. So I guess maybe they are going faster, not sure but I'll drink to that!
