Finally finished my old Lionel TTUX Collection. Actually these NON-SCALE cars and trailers really don’t look bad operating with the big boys. I always liked them for what ever reason and my Grand Sons really love them because of the trailers. So I decided to fix em up a bit and they really don’t look out of place. Six sets make up a nice train.

Back in the day, I paid 75 bucks for the Sea Land set. Today, I’ve added the other units from ebay at 30 bucks a set. Not a bad price now. Think I got all the good ones at a nice price as well!

was thinking about these last night my next purchase will be another rolling stock purchase hopefully this summer. i have a single ttux in my hotwheels train that sometimes i put in front of my engine with my camcorder perched so i get foreward camera shots in my crappy b-movies also thinking about some well cars too so i can build a highspeed intermodal system. i use an old erector set car chassis to move trailers around and load them on the train

These are the only non-scale cars I run. I used to pay 75 bucks when they came out many years ago. Today you can get them on ebay for around 25-30. I have a nice collection of weathered trailers and run a mix or match during operation. They look better when decorated up and really fit in with any true O scale road name engine & caboose. A long train of empty or full of trailers look great! I generally set them up when the Grand kids arrive. Seems they like these the best which prompted me to buy more sets of them.

The height and length measurements pf the trailers and spine flat cars match 1/64th scale models.

These LIONEL trailers and spine flat cars are slightly wider than 1/64th scale equipment but not quite as wide at 1/48th scale equipment.

As a matter of fact Lionel offered the same TTUX cars in S gauge, all they did is change the trucks.

At one point I had virtually every one offered, and they certainly do make an impressive unit train.
