I purchased a pre Bachman Williams train at the recent York show. I am in need of some parts for it. It's the N&W Powhatan Arrow train. I need the dome car vista top and any seat unit that goes inside of it. Also need the roof and end door(?) fot the observation car. Does anyone know of a source for pre Bachman Williams parts? Thanks.

Online auctions, like TheBay; big dealers' "back rooms". There is no "source" of which I am aware; if you find it, post it. I'd like to know, myself (I really don't think such exists).
These items have long since passed into the world of Model Railroading (do it yourself, or it doesn't get done); that is, they are not part of the "3-rail/toy/hi-rail/parts inventory" pipeline any longer. Great stuff, though.

I'm in the same boat. Here a few ideas that may help:
If those Pawhatan cars are 15" aluminum, the parts should interchange to any of Bachman's 15" cars. Also those cars were based on the Lionel Postwar 2500 series.
Some of those Lionel parts may also fit.
For your roof and end door, consider buying a junker from the usual sources (Ebay, local shows, forum sponsors, etc) and use it as a parts donor. Some painting or tweaking may be needed.
I needed coupler centering springs and roller pick ups for my pre-Bachman Williams Santa Fe aluminum streamliners and just ordered some Lionel repro parts that look like they will fit.
