What would value be inPS 1. It works fine

It is MTH Premier
Three years ago I would have said $300.00 max if I were shopping for one, largely because most people, as well as me, would be thinking "I have to pay for it, and then pay to upgrade it to PS-2 or -3; so, I'll only take it if it's priced low."
But in today's market asking prices on eBay have been sky high for the last two years.
Today $575.00 minimum would seem reasonable to me. And many people are now saying "Forget the upgrade;. I'll run it as it is.". So, with any luck, they won't balk at this price either.

Are you considering selling it or just curious? Mike above is probably correct in his latter assessment but I would definitely fall into the first camp looking at the cost to upgrade to command and sounds. Early MTH smoke can be quite prolific and unless you want timed puffing it would likely be sufficient. Also to consider, many of the Proto1 locomotives may lack some details that are desirable to have. The basic mechanics are still very good however. So, $300 would be tops for my best estimate.

The photo you posted is of a MTH Rail King Model, not Premier.
A PS1 MTH Rail King Daylight GS4 is worth maybe $200 or so, depending on condition.
I guess I did not realize that it is a Railking. I am searching for the box.
How did you know?

Knowledgable folks familiar with MTH can tell by looking at it. It is DEFINITELY not Premier.
Thank you knowledgeable folk…..

It's pretty easy to tell. Rail King steam locomotives are smaller than scale, especially noticeable when placed next to a full scale Premier model. Also the PS1 Rail King GS4 has an incorrect tender and pilot.
Here's my Premier GS4 for comparison.

Great, so all this time I have an incorrect pilot and Tender…Woe is me!

Right. It is simply a "toy train" model, and NOT a "scale" model.
Yes, it took me several years to figure out I need Premier in the future….That’s all I am buying now. So I will figure 300.00 to sell it.
Thanks guys,
