Skip, that is fantastic.  Who built that beautiful station?

Hi Marty! That's a Roger Farkash/TW Trainworx Pennsylvania Station.

The Old Penn Station was on 7th Ave and 33rd St across from the 7th Ave entrance to Macys which is the corner of 7th Ave and 34th St.

Macys 7th Ave

I took the liberty of including a "7th Ave El," which never actually existed but looks like it could have.

Hi Skip,  Wow! and Fantastic! about sums it up.  Penn Station's destruction led to the start of preservation movements, so train stations in many cities still exist, including Union Station in Tacoma.

Penn Station had fallen into bad shape as the Pennsy, taxed heavily to pay for the Interstate Highways, couldn't afford to maintain it properly. As a result, we lost two great buildings: Penn Station and the old Madison Square Garden on 8th Avenue (where I saw my first Ranger games).  Today's Madison Square Garden sits on top of today's totally subterranean and depressing Penn Station. As you stated, the loss of these buildings certainly had much to do with the formulation of the Landmarks Preservation Commission and the preservation of Grand Central Terminal.

Very nice work. The bus looks like it's from the fifties early sixties

Walter, the bus is a fifth ave coach lines bus they ran in the city from 56 through the mid 70s. Beautiful works of art in their own rite. They were some of the first air conditioned ones 14918718813462142096063 to run in the country
