Opinions on DZ-1070 by Z stuff

I was wondering if anyone has these in use on their layouts? I want to use them to activate my MTH crossing signal.

first question -can the range of the sensor cover two tracks or just one?

second question - I want to link more than one together so that in either direction I can activate the signals, has anyone linked them in this way?
