WBB Baldwin Shark owners how do you like them? I've always liked the look of Pennsy sharks. Is Trainworld still offering free B units with them?

Hi, Brad.
Like most Williams/WBB locomotives I've sampled, the RF16 runs splendidly. In the event such matters are important to you, I should mention the windshield rises up at too sharp of an angle from the nose. The models produced by Weaver and MTH capture this trait more accurately.
Good luck with your shopping,
Bob
Brad,
I have a ABA set of WBB Sharks in the Baldwin Locomotive Works demonstrator livery.
They run great, have good sound volume, are scale sized, and the units couple together nice and close, much closer than MTH or Lionel which are pretty far apart.
I added two motors to the B unit, added MTH cab figues and a Evan Desigh LED headlight to the lead unit. I have a good looking stump puller which as a demonstrator, looks right at home with cars and cabooses from any road.
One of my colleagues in the Richmond City 3 Railers (Kanawah) has the Baldwin demonstrators. My impression from watching them in our shows is that they run great.

I have an A-B-A set of B&O sharks upgraded with Railsounds & TMCC. They’re good looking and great runners. The only flaw is the windshield doesn’t have the proper slope. If you’re not looking for a high degree of accurate detail, that’s not a problem.
Mine are around ten years old and run like new.

I have a A-B-A PRR set that was the first Williams locos I bought. Mine look and run great. I don't know for sure but the seem like full scale models.....they are big at any rate.
I have a pennsy pair that I upgraded to tmcc and sound and they look and sound great. The slope near the windshield is not exactly right but it does not detract from a nice engine.
Trucks aren't full scale length, they're shortened/squatty looking; good runners, good price.

Brad - I have a NYC Lightning Stripe A-B set from about 10 years ago - they look good and are real stump pullers.
I bought an unpowered B unit Shark for the NYC at a train show and added True Blast 2 horn to it. Had to use external wire source to power the horn, used a 1/32nd scale remote control wire harness that has two wires in a quick disconnect. Wired up two other Williams powered SD-45's to use with it, so along with TB-2 horn unit I have back-up power to each diesel unit in case of a dead spot on the layout or a switch point. I used green putty on the plastic covers to sort of conceal them from sight.
I know that I am supposed to use the B unit with another Shark but a bargain is sometimes too good to pass up, $20.00 for the B unit.

I own a set of the WbB Sharks in demo colors, and love them! They were my first time buying a loco in demonstrator colors. I can run these with any train and they look great.
I next plan to buy a set of the Pennsy Sharks from WbB.
I bought an A-B-A set of Pennsy Sharks in Brunswick green in the begining of October. I got the AA's from TrainWorld/TrainLand for $199.99 with a free "B" unit. They are nice runners and have alot of pulling power. These Sharks are my sixth locomotive purchase from Williams/WbB. While not 100% accurate as previously noted, I still feel that they are very nice pieces. I would reccomend these locomotives to anyone wanting a nice basic no-frills conventional diesel to run on their layout!
