Original Lionel ZW Transformer losing power when hooked up to track | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hello all, I am having an issue with my original post for Lionel zws. When I took up a voltmeter to the terminal I get around 19 or 20 volts but when I hook it up to the track I'm down to 16 and a half volts. These are old Transformers and have not been rebuilt. Is there anything I can do to them like add rollers or whatever or get a new MTH or new Lionel issue Transformer. I do have Lionel rollers but I do not have rivets to attach them to the Transformer. Any help appreciated as usual. Thank you very much, Jerry
