I have been looking up details on various locomotives in my collection and started into seeing what I could find out about Lionel 6-11233, a two truck shay operated by PP&L. When I googled it, a great picture of it came up on a Washington State historical site and it was still lettered as PP&L in the photo. The photo was not copyrighted but I don't want to risk getting in trouble by posting the picture, so here is the site: https://www.washingtonruralher...ection/nols/id/2969/
I assume as coal mining changed in PA, this loco was sold by PP&L to a timber operation in Washington. Does anyone have insights on this or a resource that might discuss this? Google was not helpful. BTW, this site has 1200 pictures of logging and railroads in the Olympic peninsula area. https://www.washingtonruralher...ital/collection/nols
thanks in advance.
