I am currently completing a train shed for my Scranton Lackawanna station and need to paint the platform floor. I would assume that late 40's, early 50's that these would be made of cement. Any suggestions on how to get a moderately worn platform look? Thanks, Paul

If it's a plastic surface, I'd suggest priming first. Acrylics have a tendency not to adhere very well to plastic. Then top coat it with the color of choice. If cement, then maybe some gray? If you can spray it, then gray and a very light dusting of black and then tan camo. If you're hand painting, then maybe some india ink/alcohol mix after the top coat is applied.
Rustoleum camo khaki is a good base color for concrete. Put the “cracks” in it first, spray it then wash it with blacks, browns and greys until you’re satisfied with the look.
If you want a rougher, less "finished" concrete look, try Rustoleum Desert Bisque, which is textured. Start with an undercoat of cheap craft acrylic--white for new concrete, black for old.
