They are awesome cars; I currently have two but hopefully that will change in the near future
I also see Carmine's "Walter" running with the new sound file

My wife loving penguins as she does I only have the penguin aquarium car.
Love the video. I always wanted an aquarium car as a kid and still have never owned one. I’ll have to pick one up one of these days.

Nice catch on Carmines new sound file. Aquarium cars have always been my favorite ever since I saw the first one in the 1959 catalog
Love them, too, but my experience is mixed. Several of my cars often get stuck, putting stress on the gear shaft. Removing the shell and futzing with it helps....for a while.
They do require some adjustments at times. Also, the vibrator motor is very loud. The can motor ones are much quieter.
Nice video. I do love them. Got my 3435 as a Christmas present from my aunt in 1959.

Aquarium cars are cool, but I haven't collected them. I only have two; the Alien Suspension Car and the Floating Dead Aliens Car.
Just have one myself, one of the Christmas parades (forget model #). Never had an issue. Granted, it only runs one month of the year!
I picked up one of the TMCC Aquarium cars a while back (the one with whales and dolphins; Lionel made one other, with sharks) but haven't set it up yet. Motorized, needless to say, and pretty cool because these also have sounds, and the speed of the belt can be adjusted, which is a nice feature. Also equipped with electrocouplers, I guess good if you're setting them out on a siding to let them continue to run while the train moves on. I plan to put the car, along with another motorized one, on a siding next to the Lionel aquarium, which has two operating fish "tanks." Lots of action.
