I was looking for parts from MTH but they want $9 to ship tiny items? I just don't get why its so high. Does anyone have a good parts person out there? I am looking for this item CH-0000026 its a light socket for interior light on a passenger car. It has a grey and white wire with light also, I need 6 of them. Joe

Sorry to say, shipping is expensive, regardless of where you purchase your parts. I try to wait until I have enough items on my parts list to make the shipping costs worthwhile. There are some common, high-usage items I keep on hand so I don't have to keep purchasing them. Things like light bulbs, brushes, e-unit parts, screws, horse shoe washers, e-clips, common rivets, and more. And often, when I need a specific part, I will order an extra one or two to have on hand.
I stock parts, but best to see a picture of what you need. The wires are throwing me. Normally it is a plug in bulb. A normal 2 pin bulb slipped into a holder same similar to Christmas lights. G
I think Joe needs the light socket assembly used in Railking cars, like what Lionel uses in their low end diesels. Socket that the bulb pushes into. I have a few 8352-300 lamp and socket assembly if needed.

George the part number is CH-0000026. Its a light harness that wires in under the seats and goes to the top of the car. A light slides into it and the light looks like a grain of wheat on top but the bottom of bulb looks like a Christmas tree light bulb. This plugs into the harness.

Thanks for the picture. Have not had to use those and do not have any. G
I had lots of those from upgrades but I didn't save any as I could never envision a need for them.

buy a cheap set of Christmas lights and scavenge sockets off the string of
lights. Ive done this before and it works great. You get 100 sockets for about $1.00
