Passenger Cars Crackling | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Will EbbertOGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBER

I've finally got my trains up and running using Legacy and a GW-180, but the pickup rollers on my passenger cars are crackling and occasionally sparking. It happens on both Atlas and K Line cars so my question is if the problem is with the track (Atlas) or the transformer.

You can hear it heady around the 15 second mark.

No I didn't. I figured since the track was new it wouldn't be necessary.

Clean the tracks and the rollers/wheels. Then I use Deoxit-D5 on the roller axles to give better conductivity.
