Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've heard, Pere Marquette 1225 has been using the same whistle since her original career, but has had it retuned and cleaned to sound less hoarse over the years. You can hear a significant difference in pitch from 1988 to now.
What kind of whistle does she have anyway? A Nathan 6-chime?

Why not contact (eMail?) that organization up there in Owosso, MI and ask them? They should have all your answers.
