where is this? Im from Youngstown but not far from Cranberry at all. Do you have to have membership?
No membership needed. Cranberry is where the Pa. Turnpike and I-79 meet. The big motel is just east of Rt. 19 near the Pike. Near a big Sunoco station.

I'll be heading over shortly.....now that I know Mark won't be there.
(remembering last year when you wanted to meet other OGR members at the show)

Pretty bad show to be honest. Unfriendly sellers who treat younger people like irrelevant pieces of crap and sellers with slim to nothing. Guess ill be sticking with eBay.
Great show - lots of people and lots of good deals. Real nice modular layout too.
I sold a lot of items and everyone was happy with their buys.
hope I can make the next one with my new work schedule.

Dave,
You said that because I called you Drainmaster instead of Dtrainmaster on a reply once! lol Do you remember?
I didn't know you lived in the Pittsburgh area!
We went to hear our daughter sing with the Mendelssohn Choir and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh this afternoon. Great show, but it was an ordeal getting her grand-parents there, into the gallery seats, and back home again. It was worth it not knowing how much longer we can get my mother to events like that.

Thom,
So sorry to read you are in the hospital! Looking forward to seeing you fully recovered soon!

I remember that now. I tried to find the original thread this morning to see whether it was the Cranberry or Kittanning show I referenced.

Good!
It was OK show, not much I was interested in, however my uncle picked up a Railking CSX GEVO for $200 brand new!
I saw a guy with a bunch of weaver cars for sale but didn't look at them. First time in a long time I didn't come home with a Lionel steam engine. Was more interested in Standard gauge and did get a nice #8. My real find was a really nice, very tall-12" metal lamp post that was perfect for a woman I know looking for one. She makes dioramas with Breyer horses in them. Not my cup of tea but she likes it and I got what she needed. Makes it fun.
Major remodeling schedules for the Sheraton, now under new management. Yesterday was the last Fort Pitt TCA show , at least for a while, at this building. Not sure, when, or where, this show will re-emerge.
High Railers will be part of Locomotion Weekend at the Carnegie Science Center, I believe the weekend of January 9th and 10th.

That news is a bummer-it was a nice location and convenient. I think there is a Greenberg in Jan. ??
The next Greenberg show in Monroeville is February 27-28, 2016.

The DoubleTree Cranberry which was formerly the Sheraton in Cranberry is going to remodel the room/rooms where the TCA has been holding their meets for the last 15-20 years . This will start in January 2016 and wont be finished until summer, however the TCA is planning on resuming the meets starting in the fall 2016 . At present they are looking for an alternative site to hold a meet in the spring of 2016. Our club the Ft. Pitt Hi-Railers are looking forward to setting up at the next meet and in addition will be at the Locomotion weekend at the Carnegie Science Center Jan. 9th & 10th 2016 and then at the Pittsburgh Home & Garden show Mar 4th - Mar.16th 2016. Check out our Ft. Pitt TCA homepage www.hobbytraincollectors.org for updates.
