Hey y'all!
I'm contemplating adding a figure 8 to my layout. I see Marx has both metal (older) and plastic crossings. Any pros or cons with either? Need something that will allow single reduction locos to pass through.

The plastic crossings are as bad as the plastic switches for SR motors, go with metal.

Thank you for posting that Steve. I didn't know they made a plastic crossing, but will be sure to avoid them should I ever need one. I think the plastic switches are the real reason Marx went out of business.

I have a spare metal crossing I can send for postage I think I have 3 or four..I can send the best of the lot..

I saw Steve's post earlier and got one off eBay. Got some metal switches coming too to replace the Lionel and K-Line ones I have. Pretty soon the whole layout's goona be overrun with Marx! LOL
