Thank you all for your well-wishes!

I would take the time to answer each of the posts individually, but I just returned from an afternoon at Mercer Junction where I enjoyed the usual good fellowship and picked-up an MTH Alaska RR GP30 on preorder that had just arrived this week.  Just what I needed...another locomotive.  I think my roster now exceeds that of the real Alaska RR.

Also had a fine lunch at one of my favorite restaurants:  the Iron Bridge Inn just outside of Mercer, PA.  Great food, great service, and a bloody Mary that just hit the spot.

I will, of course, have to kill Don for revealing my birthday, but in order to do that I'll have to travel to Maui.  I'll delay that trip long enough for him to get his new layout built and for him to submit several articles for the magazine.  All kidding aside, a trip back to my beloved Islands (lived there nearly 18 years of my long life) is definitely in my plans for some point the future.

Thanks again to all--to those I know and have met, and to those I hope to meet at some point in the future.  All are valued family members to my way of thinking.  God Bless!

Again, my sincere thanks to all for your kind comments.  I'm not sure I deserve such accolades, but I am very grateful.  You folks--all of you, and including those who may not agree with some of the things I write--truly are special, and it's especially gratifying to know that the magazine and this forum are contributing in some way to your enjoyment of this great hobby.
