My sister-in-law called my wife excitedly this morning that she just purchased this set for my brother-in-law at Boscov's.com. On sale for $319.99 with an additional 20% off with free shipping for final price of $255.99. So happy for her and my brother-in-law. He will surely be pleasantly surprised with receiving this the set and also seeing the fine deal she got.

Heh, Picked mine up last month. My Grand daughter loves it, Really likes the Sleigh Bell.

I am sorry to report I'm not impressed with the operation tho.

The engine slows noticably in corners and generally runs quite fast.

First 2 notches on remote, no movement, 3rd gets it haltingly moving, 4 or 5 is fine on straights but will stop in curves. 6 makes it through the curve but races down the straight. At 9 (just over half throttle) it jumps the turnout in the curve position but makes the straight. Same in reverse.

Good Quote from the movie is just after power up with remote in stopped setting, Hit the Bell, then Announcement. Can't seem to get it any other way.

2 other sayings in stopped, and 2 in motion.

Are you running from the supplied wall pack? There is a 4A wall pack available. I get a very slow crawl and no other issues on 18VAC. Just the LionChief model, not the 10th anny.

Sure sounds like you have more than the basic 40x60 layout. How many power feeds do you have? You may very well need more than the supplied wall wart and single power feed. I have the same engine. It runs well on the club modular layout ~20x30 w/ a Z4K MTH transformer set on 16V.
