kind of . not to sure what it's called. I use the sticky stuff  they use on the back of a credit card that sticks to the paper. It holds it good. Hasn't fallen off. i put it on and i can remove it easy with out any damage. I also use it to hold the "ghost" and the boy skiing.

Is there a link? Not sure if the Ghost sking with hero boy would fit through my tunnels but not adverse to making modifications. Love the fireman figure too. Don't know how Lionel missed the red beard.

Touch up the edges of the hole with locomotive black paint. To the interior, you can get lenses for Mag light flashlights. One is red. Scuff it up on the inside with a Scotchbrite or some fine sand paper to further blur the light. A dab or two of CA glue and you're good to go.

Here is an important point about participating here on the forum.  You may post a question, or a comment about some particular thing.  Soon you will get an answer or answers directly related to your post.  At sometime, during the life of the original post, others will make commentary that relates, not to your post or question, but to a comment made by another forum member on your post.  Sometimes, the original idea or question will get completely lost, as the commentary actually becomes a discussion amongst fellow members.  This has no reflection on you, or what you said or asked.  It's just the way of things here.  If you see this happening, and it bothers you, just ask again, and request that people keep in mind what the original subject was.  This may or may not work, but it usually does.  And then people will get back on track.

It sometimes takes a good jostling to keep the original subject in the forefront.

And sometimes they do both. It's how conversations flow. I hope we don't lose that ability to communicate. You never know where inspiration might come from. Whether it be the inspiration to do something, or the inspiration to add to a conversation. But, if you think we need a forum rule, on Topic Response Appropriate Parameters please post it in the suggestions forum.

Here's ours.  Its a modified 2004/5 Polar Express with ERR cruise commander, sound commander 2, shorted draw bar from locomotive to tender, and I modified smoke unit where I drilled out the holes slightly and changed the heating element.

Train ran every day from day after Thanksgiving until Jan 18th,  usually for 10 - 15 minute sessions, or if company wanted to see it or play with it.

Thanks Volphin,

ERR did my conversion to TMCC back when they had a promo of free installation years ago. The trestles are MTH Realtrax Trestles that are specifically designed for Fastrack and say so on the box.  MTH states to space them approximately every foot which I just eyeballed or where the track needed support like on a curve.  I don't think the grade is more than the normal post war grade, but I sure I could space things out more next year or I'll probably just change things out like I usually do anyway.  Depends on where the tree goes and space given to me.

Looking at other's PE layouts here will give me better ideas for next year...There is a ton of great PE layouts in this thread.  I especially like the corner layouts people came up with.
