I removed a 2 position E unit from an Alco 212. Being very much a novice in this area, I came to find out that it was a double wired field.
I'm putting this E unit in another Alco (222) that is not double field wired. Although I was careful to make notes on the wiring, the original setup does not work with the new motor.
I'm in need of advice in wiring the E unit to the new motor. Their is no horn ...just a light.
Both E unit and motor are in excellent running order.
