I often have maintenance questions about locomotives in the 1946 - 1969 postwar era - cleaning, repairing, lubricating, etc. I'm puzzled about whether to post them on ...3-Rail O Gauge or Tinplate forum. My current question I may post to both to see where the response comes.
I'd like to hear from others interested in this question. On which of these forums are you most likely to see and respond to my question. Many of you look at both. Who of you experts would respond on one but not the other ?

IMO, you have the question in the right forum here.
As to getting most exposure, that may be different based on each member's browsing habits.
I saw both of your posts, because I generally browse the column to the right of the screen, "Recent Posts", and that shows everything, no matter where it is.
Others may only view the topic lists in specific sub-forums.

You’re confusing the term tinplate. It doesn’t refer to trains made from 1946 to 1969. It refers to sheet-metal trains made prior to 1941 (mostly) and modern reproductions.
In short, stop thinking of diecast metal and plastic O gauge trains as “tinplate.” The term is incorrectly used by some who think the term was a reference to the track.
