I've been really impressed with some of the websites that are devoted to cataloging Postwar Lionel locomotives and cars. In my searches I have found some good but narrowly focused Prewar resources. I've never come across a site devoted to Prewar Lionel. There are some great books on the subject but many are out of print and not always available to the average collector.

I gave it some thought and decided that I would build a site. I've constructed the framework of a site and I'm in the process of populating link lists for the various locomotives, cars and accessories. It's a daunting task!! The pages are visible to any visitor but I've set it up so that members can submit information to build a comprehensive archive and library.

My site is running and called Prewarlionel, I hope to see you there soon!!!  www.prewarlionel.com

The paper version is out of print, but a DVD version is available from TCA's National Toy Train Library. TCA Librarian <ref-library@traincollectors.org>
