Hi guys. I just picked up these cars with some other prewar trains. I was wondering if anyone has any information about these? Are they rare? General idea of a price range? I hate to ask that last question, but I know nothing about these, and basically am curious if they are worth the price of the prewar Lionel trucks, or are rare and are worth a fair bit. I have some of the O-gauge Picard kit parts, just the basic boxcar floor-walls-roof for two different sizes of boxcar. "Picard Novelty Co" is clearly stamped on some of the bundled pieces. The wood is still straight and I assembled a couple of the basic boxes but haven't finished them off.

Picard Novelty Co. made exactly the same line in HO, OO, and O gauges ...

Picard Novelty kits are pretty crude, but the wood is generally decent and these were designed to go together very strongly with rabbet joints on the ends.  Paper sides though...and just about zero details.......................BUT!

If you willing to put in the work, you can turn those 6 blocks of wood

into this:

I see on the list above they offered no cabooses?

Not sure that I've ever seen anything other than the boxcars - had a box of these (maybe 12 sets of 6 wood parts) offered to me at the Chicago show - had just finished off the one car I posted above and decided regardless of price that enough was enough in this department,

They made a gondola and depressed center flat I believe, incredibly rare pieces.
