Does anyone have this item?? I'm looking at the shed solo, without the station. Been looking at this for some time. Darn that Tom Snyder TM video!!!

Before I truly decide about having one on my SG layout I want to to make sure it-

1) can one fit a piece of Standard Gauge track between the litho platforms?  and-

2) can a Std gauge locomotive (an repro IVES 1334 or a repro 400E)  and/or electric engine (408E or 318E) run clear through this height-wise??

The Ives version has been used on standard gauge layouts since 1917. Go for it.

Replayed the Tom Snyder video again and again where they show the PL, they have a 9E engine with the  Stephan Girard green passenger set running under and through it. The 9E electric is 5-7/8 tall, the SG green series cars are 4" tall . A 318E is 5-3/16" tall, 408E is probably too tall at 6-1/2". The National Limited passenger cars are 5-7/8" tall.

This could work!

I am fairly sure the inside demensions are 5.5 inches wide and 7.5 inches tall. You will have to consider the added height of the track plus actual loco dimensions.  Also the available lengths are 18" and 27", not 24". 200 dollars is a buy it now price however you can make an offer and it looks like most previous offers have been accepted if you check completed sales.

Go to e-bay and search  Pride lines Ives free standing glass dome train shed. There is one seller that has four new 18 inch models and several 24 inch models. The 18"  models are 200 dollars

Hi JenniferK, Nice to see another gal here!!  Yup, been watching these on the evilBay for months- need to be patient and wait to get it when finances are best for it.

Hi Carey.

If by chance you are still considering this shed, I may have an alternative for you to review.

This is my TIN PLATE version which was designed for both Standard and O scale.

These are available w and wo the lower side roofs.

Let me know of any questions.

thanks.
