I need a little advice from the experts.  I purchased new for my wife the K-line girls set with the PRR 3785 Steam locomotive.  I have operated it a few times over the years and it has always been a good performer.  Put it on the layout last night and it is throwing the transformer breaker.  I have an MTH Z-4000 and when I power the track up the train moves but the overload/short light flashes.  Train moves for about 10 seconds then stops.  Any ideas on what I should look for?  I ran this train about 6 months ago and it ran fine.  Thanks

Rodney

It sounds like a wire might be shorting on the frame/boiler, or possibly one of the pickup rollers is bridging the center and outer rail, causing the short. Flip the locomotive over and look for any black marks or anything that looks like it's not seated properly. Also touch the locomotive too - anything that feels hot is a good indication of where the short may be.

Good luck!
