Beautiful Locomotives! For TMCC running, Set the four switches to:

  • Program/Run to Run
  • Smoke to Off or On (your preference)
  • Cruise control to On
  • Rail Sounds/Signal Sounds to RS.

Since they were only run in conventional, they may or may not still have their TMCC (as originally delivered) engine ID setting of  "Engine 1."  If so, you can leave it or change it to your liking. If they seem to run oddly, try changing the Cruise control switch to Off.

Are both of these locos powered, or just one?

Next step - assume someone did change the engine ID. You can change it to one of your liking from 2 to 99. If this procedure is new for you, it is the same as for any TMCC engine. For convenience, the attached paragraph is from a K-Line Diesel instruction sheet. We know it isn't 1, so you have one chance in 98 of choosing what it already is, in which case, your procedure will just overwrite the old number with the same, like your PC does.
