For some reason I can no longer post to my original, first and only post that I submitted.  I just wanted to thank all those that responded and that have assisted with this PS1 issue.  I didn't want it to seem as if I was ignoring the current responses, or anymore that may come in.  But, I can no longer post to my own post, however I can to others.  Comment was left in the Tech Support area, and thanks again to everyone.

When you say you let the Z-4000 take you to reset 18 and it works, do you listen to the clinks and clanks to ensure your at 18.  3 and 3?  Sometimes the engine can miss one and not get 18.

Also do you press and hold the bell button to get the garble and clear bell?  Then come out of program and lower voltage to zero and back up to come out of reset?  If you don't do those steps the reset doesn't lock in.  G

Sorry for the delay in responding, I had family in over the weekend.  When I last updated my first post, the original issues were pretty much still there.  Over the weekend, I did fire up the Vanderbilt and wha-la...I had sounds that matched what was actually happening.  Meaning, sounds at idle, a chugging sound while moving (legit chugging sound), but still no PSA's.  I don't know what I did, if anything, or if this is just a bit of Protosound pure magic, but I'm content with what it's doing now.  I still would like to get the PSA's to work, and I'll try now that things have calmed down at the house.  I honestly hate to screw anything up button sequence wise to mess up what I currently do have, but we'll see.  Thanks again to everyone who helped me out.
