Ps-2 big boy 30-1374-1
Dcs won't find it. Sits dead on track.
Won't respond to shut down of power...however...if you pull the plug out the back of the engine and plug it back in it comes on in conventional in neutral...if you shut power down it takes off...so I know conventional works...but dcs refuses to connect and responds with 'no engine to add.'
Any ideas?

Try a Recover Engine with the engine on a track connected directly to Fixed #1 Output on a TIU that is #1:

Did that. Says no engine on track.
But I put a different engine on track and it found it right away.

Sounds like either the small PCB on the back of the engine where tether plugs in has broken solder joints, or the tether may be bad. G
Last night I figured it out...I think.
I was reading the mth dcs info online and it said PS-2 engines are polarity sensitive...but you had to read in a ways to find that little tidbit...
So...I reversed the leads on the tiu interface output...and away it went.
It's the little things that get you...
If you have the signals upside down, they do tend to have issues. 
Yeh that's kinda unexpected since my ps3 stuff could seemingly care less...I just recently got the dcs setup...so still learning...had been running everything conventional...

PS3 is not polarity sensitive.
Yep...figured that out. That's why I had issues.
Never ran my ps2 stuff on dcs...
