I just purchased a MTH 30-1788-1 Steam Turbine 6200 engine. My engine when running does not have the steam train sound. Has any one else have this unit and can tell me if it make any chugging noise when running. All my other trains do have sound when running. I have reset the features with no change...

You get no chugging sounds with a turbine which this engine has. You can change the sound file to have them, but the real steam turbine are what you have now. I have the PS2 Imperial 30-1395-1 and it is the same without chugging.
The turbine should not have a chugging steam sound but rather the whirring type turbine sound.
MTH's product page has an mp3 clip but that doesn't include much movement sound; instead more station sounds.
Here's a video clip by Trainworld of the 30-1785-1 PRR version from the same 2019 release demonstrating the turbine sound.
Thanks, Yes that is what my engine sounds like from video...
First off as said no steam turbine will chug. Also in the case of the Pennsy steam turbine there would be NO steam whoosh when the engine is standing still unless a relief valve is/has lifted. The Pennsy steam turbine was "direct" drive so steam release would only occur when steam was emit to the respective turbine thus movement. No emitted steam no movement and no whoosh.
