Hi,

I have an old k-line mp 15 that has a burned out  e-unit. From a previous tmcc conversion of a railking nw-2 I have the ps-1board. I would like to install the board in the mp-15, but I don't  know which wires go to which terminals.  Is there someone out there that can explain to me how to wire the board into the loco? I'mean not looking to add sound as there is no room for a speaker, but I might want to put electroom couplers on it.

Thanks in advance

Hi All:  While somewhere near the subject, I have an MTH Union Pacific Challenger I believe is product number 30-1107-0 which was completely dead.  I had two boards with unknown backgrounds.  One is defective the other operates except it does not sequence properly.  It operates the locomotive in forward but does not go into neutral and reverse.  Somewhere, I read that it may be locked in forward mode and it was possible to reset it into normal operation.  I cant imagine that after it sat in my questionable board box for a few years it would remember its last program.  Alternatively, I have a good set of PS1 boards but no steam sound chip.  If anyone has a steam sound chip for PS1 and is willing to sell it, please let me know.
Gunrunnerjohn, would the chip be available from Henning's ?  The chip from 30-1116-1 C&O Allegheny would work.  Meanwhile, I guess I'll fire up the scope and see if I can figure out what might be going on.  Most of the boards I am familiar with use the CD4013 dual flip flop for sequencing but things are not always easy.  Best Regards,
