Not sure how many of your guys have heard this podcast episode from Notch 6, the point of me posting this is to see if there's a current piece of equipment made that will run the PS1 Sounds off the TMCC System like a normal command control loco like how Mike talked about 12 minutes or so into the podcast. http://69.195.124.114/~notchsi...e-for-lionel-trains/

There is no current product to do this. Sometimes older products like the one Mike was part of come up on eBay, but that can be pricey. There was talk of someone developing one here on the forums a month or two ago, but they vanished without further details. So the only thing you can do currently is to upgrade with either a ERR TMCC (generic sounds) kit, or MTH's PS-3 kit (downloadable sound sets for almost everything, but some are not as good as the PS-1 sounds, IMHO).
I'd love to have a product like this, I have 3 locomotives that would get the boards today if I could buy some.
I absolutely agree, the PS1 sounds were really good. Maybe eventually something will surface again.
Hi Matt / Trainlover9943 - I lesson to all the "Notch 6" & "Round House" episodes on iTunes. I get mixed up on the electrical issues that Mike and Derek were talking about. Take a look at the diagram below to see if I am intergrading TMCC & MTH / DCS correctly.

I have heard the older Digital Dynamics TMCC capable board would accept the PS1 sound board. But, I have the one and only I had installed in a GP38 and do not wish to make the change. I may reconsider later, just to give it a try, and put ERR in the GP38. As for the other topic and discussion, I have followed it closely and a lot of us do hope it may come to fruition. I, myself, as many others, have more than a few PS1 engines we wish to keep the sounds with and have TMCC control.

Is that place still around? It seems like keeping the PS1 sounds and getting a "normal" form of command control with them will be difficult.
It's still not around, as Mike works for Lionel now and closed up shop when he started at Lionel. and there were at least 3 options for keeping PS-1 sounds when adding TMCC that I can think of, so it wasn't too difficult. It just wasn't a sustainable model it seems as they all closed.
@Gary, since I've seen you post that a couple times in unrelated threads trying to get help with it, it might be time to start your own thread in the DCS forum to get the help you need. That's where the guys that know that stuff really well can help you. DCS has nothing to do with PS-1 anyway as PS-1 isn't command, just a very fancy conventional.
DD was owned by a different person. Mike has TAS. G
What were the other two ways besides the conversion board.
They were all conversion boards, just done in different ways by different people.
Ed Bender was Digital Dynamics.
