Question, I have a SD50 ps2 3v that I was told had a bad stacker board. I am assuming that is the top board. Now I have a parts unit that’s identical. Can I just swap the top board? Just unplug everything and put the good board back on? This is out of my wheelhouse, so any info would be appreciated.
Now on second thought, not knowing what made the board go bad, changing the board just could ruin a second board, still would like to know if it could be done.

First off, it really is important how the person that "diagnosed" the failure determined that it was the top board that was bad.  Since the top board is really just level shifters and the like, all the real logic is on the main bottom board.

If you were sure that the top board was the only failure the answer is YES, you can just put a matching top board on the processor board.
