hope someone here can help. I am using the new MTH WITU with a math 1000 brick and a Lionel 180 was powerhouse  everything is working great except for one problem. I have two PS2 engines that are causing problems when starting up and powering tiu tracks. when these engines are on fixed channel the TIU doesn't complete startup light remain green.  sometimes  one of the engines will actually start up but is sitting on track that has power supplied but remains green and engine cannot be addressed or made active.    if these engines are on a switch siding that is off during startup and then siding switched on all lights on all channels go from purple to green.   now comes the strange  part.  if have these engines on a variable track I am able to supply power and both of these engines run great. I am able to factory reset , readdress, and create lash ups.  so the problem seems only exist when engines see immediate power on fixed channels. any ideas.  both engines have bcr s installed

I’m still using a remote. If I’m reading your issue. It’s when you toggle on a siding and it sees the fixed voltage. The engine misses the watchdog signal and starts in conventional. This problem has always existed with DCS. The easiest thing is to do is hit Start Up on the remote and your good to go.  I’m guessing a phone or tablet will work the same.
Gunrunner John came up with a solution a while back that cures the issue by installing some hardware.

thanks for reply Dave. I don't think I did a good job describing my problem. I talking about fact that with either or both of these engines on a "live" as opposed to a switched siding start up of TIU blocked the green lights on output channel blink green several times but do not turn purple indicating start up. If these engines are on a switched siding that is on off position during start up then startup of channel is successful (light purple) but when siding subsequently turned on then channel shuts down and turns green.  its like something is shorting? but yet as I described in previous post they work fine when they are on a variable channel where power can be applied through slider.   hope I am stating problem clearly enough that someone can help
