I am upgrading a PS1 Texas Special ABA from PS1 to PS3 and adding smoke to both A-units. Only the lead unit has power, the other two are dummies. I am using 10 pin connectors to get the smoke & other functions to the dummy A.

The other functions going to the dummy A include rear coupler, number boards, and taillight. These functions add up to 10 pins on the connector. However, I would also like to add a Mars light (as featured on the original model). The wiring diagram shows the taillight and number boards as using PCB ground 40, and the Mars light using PCB ground 38. Can I use PCB ground 40 for all lights without causing an overload? Would the same hold true if the interior light was included?

Also, since I've gone to the trouble of adding smoke, why not add marker lights? To free an extra pin on the connector, can I use PV 14 for the coupler as well as for the smoke heating element? I am hoping the infrequency of use does not cause an issue.

Thank you!
