I have 2 packs of these, don't recall what they came with but I didn't buy them separately.

I have the 2 main pieces (coupler body and knuckle) together and can insert the lift pin.

But I can't figure out how the knuckle stays closed.

The reason I want to use these is because they have a rounded end with a hole in them, instead of the oblong end and slot that the Kadee couplers have.  This is going on the frontend of my Weaver 4-6-0 chassis with a Stevenson Preservation Lines pilot (pre-drilled hole for coupler).

No instructions came with the couplers and I can't even find them using Google.

It is difficult to describe in words, but the key is that vertical pin with the ramp and notch.  It works exactly the way a real coupler works - when the pin is down it blocks the back end of the knuckle.

Scale Craft, High Sierra, and Protocraft couplers work this way, and I believe PSC is a variant of Protocraft.

I use these couplers on pilots, since they are highly visible.  They work fine, but I suspect Kadee is better for complicated switching hobbyists.
