This last weekend and next weekend my local town is having a festival called Railroad Days. Which is a fun time for our town as well as bringing Tourists here by train. A local Church and I got together and put up a Small O-Gauge Train Display for the people coming to the Festival. The Display is really simple and was a lot of fun to put together and Run to which we got alot of Influx to see the display as well as being able to sit down in a comfortable enviroment and have a Hot meal of Chili/Cornbread/Chocolate Cake and a Drink for a Donation of 6.00 to which all monies go into the Helping hands fund to give out 150 food bags at Christmas. Between my Trains and the Food we were able to raise almost 500.00 which puts us almost to the Goal. Also we have another Weekend. So we should do very well.
The display is six feet Wide by ten feet long and Two decks high on this we run four Trains. These trains are running on three Types of Track. Track One is Atlas O too which I have my MTH Railking Big Boy Passenger set Running combined with a Premiere Cremescicle Box Car. On Track Two we have K-Line Shadow Rail Track and on this we have a Custom painted K-Line Big Boy painted in Coca Cola Livery to pull a set of K-Line Coca Cola Passenger Cars. On Track Three we are Running a combination of Lionel and Menards Tubular Rail Track and a Lionel 0-4-0 Denver and Rio Grande Bumble Bee Engine pulling a Consist of 12 MTH Premiere 2 Bay Offset Hopper cars in Caterpillar Livery with a Premiere Caterpillar Caboose. And for our final Consist we have a Lionel RS-3 pulling a Girls set Add On Hopper car and a set of RMT All Aboard against Cancer Box car, Covered Hopper and Caboose running on Atlas O Track. The layout is populated by a combination of K-Line/ Lionel and MTH Accessories and Buildings as well as Department 56 Porcelain Buildings and Animated Cable Cars to be sure this was a highlight of the festivities to which all who saw it raved and complimented the layout.
